APNIC out of addresses -- Good Bye IPv4 -- Part 2

On Friday April 15, 2011 APNIC delegated their last IPv4 address well ahead of their estimated depletion date. It appears the depletion of IANA has prompted a 300% increase in demand! This is the first RIR to run out of IPV4 addresses. Very soon, if you live in the Asia/Pacific region, the only way you'll be able to get onto the internet is via IPV6.

This, likely, will not have any affect in the short term. However, as time goes on more and more of the Internet will eventually become IPV6. Some American ISP's have started to support test, or roll-out IPV6 support. But the change has been slow. If you or your company do business with any companies in the Asia Pacific region, this should be a priority to you, NOW!
